Health and Safety/Kit/Advice

The Club aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all runners. We do ask members to take responsibility for their own health and safety, combined with helping others as and when necessary. Our policy is to ensure that no lady runner ever runs on her own, particularly during darker evenings or in summer when the woods or Salisbury Plain are used.

In the winter you will need a high visibility vest on all training nights please.

For safety reasons we do not allow headphones to be worn. We strongly advise that dogs are not brought on training runs, partly because an insurance claim could be invalidated should an injury occur.

We encourage all members to wear their club vest when racing and out generally. This not only helps promote the club, but the distinctive turquoise and purple make it easy to spot fellow runners in a race. It also helps as a high-viz top in the summer.
